CELLO STUDIO POLICIES

Acceptance and Enrollment:  Upon acceptance into the studio, the student agrees to abide by the studio policies which will be posted within the studio website and correspondence.  Additionally, as the cello studio is a part of a larger lesson studio, it must be understood that the studio policies may change periodically to reflect that of the larger institution. It is recommended to stay aware and up to date about current studio policies.

Student Expectations: Lessons occur weekly and are considered a month to month commitment. Please attend regularly, arrive on time, and come prepared with your instrument and music. Arriving late will result in a shorter lesson time in order to stay on schedule. In the event of two consecutive weeks of no call/no shows, your lesson time may be removed from the schedule. Students must attend lessons with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and maintain lesson etiquette.

Payment Policy: Tuition payments must be made monthly, due no later than the first lesson of every month, for the lessons scheduled during that month. (Multiply lesson fee by the number of weeks that month.)  Cash, check, PAYPAL, and VENMO (preferred) are accepted. Please make any checks out to RANYA IQBAL.

Attendance: If you cannot attend all lessons that month, please communicate this BEFORE the first lesson of the month.  Lessons will be attended on a weekly basis and your space must be "reserved" due to space and time limitations within the studio. By reserving your lesson time, you are blocking other students and other teachers from using that time. If you must miss a lesson, please make an effort to reschedule for another day.

Rescheduling:  Students are allowed to reschedule as much as needed. Canceled lessons will receive a “make-up credit." You are free to reschedule your lessons as much as you like using the "mymusicstaff" system. Log in at http://app.mymusicstaff.com (All students will receive a registration link to access the lesson portal.)   Make-up credits expire within 30 days.  There will be no tuition credits towards the next month's tuition (except in the case of teacher absence.)  Check the calendar often for new openings.

Teacher Cancellation:  The teacher may need to cancel or reschedule a lesson due to illness, family emergency, or performance engagement. In that event, a make-up lesson will be provided within the month, or if no make-up times are found, a credit will be given towards the next month’s tuition.  Please be willing to work with the teacher if a lesson reschedule is requested.

No shows:  "No shows" will be billed in the normal fashion. Please be sure to contact the teacher within 24 hours of a no-show if you would like to request a make-up credit.

Withdrawal: Students should consult with the teacher if they are considering discontinuing lessons to make sure there are not areas that can be resolved.  If the student still decides to discontinue lessons, one month's notice is required.  There are no refunds for withdrawals.

Holidays:  There will be no cello lessons held during the Federal holidays.  Cello lessons are not related to school schedules so please be aware if cello lessons are being held while a student may be off from school.

Summer:  During the months of June, July, and first two weeks of August, weekly lessons may not be required in order to accommodate travel and vacations.  Full studio policies will go into effect starting the last two weeks of August through May.
